RSS Made Simple

Anyone confused about RSS feeds? What are they and how do they work?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a format for delivering regularly changing web content. Many news-related sites, weblogs and other online publishers syndicate their content as an RSS Feed to whoever wants it. RSS provides a convenient way for you to receive content “feeds” from a variety of sources, including the latest news headlines, blogs and a variety of sites.

When you subscribe to an RSS feed, new stories and updates are automatically delivered to you the moment they are published.

In order to subscribe to feeds, you need to download news reader software or use a Web-based news reader. This allows you to access all your feeds in one convenient location. Watch the following you-tube video which i think sums it up quite nicely!
