An email list is the most powerful promoting tool for an internet marketer. With an email list you can sell your products to your subscribers, you can sell them affiliate products, and you can build and earn trust with your list.

Every internet marketer needs to be able to create their own email list. Email lists are the corner stone of having a successful internet marketing business. You can have hundreds of websites selling hundreds of products but if you don’t have a list for them to subscribe to you are limiting the amount of money you could actually make. Now creating a list does take a little bit of work. The best way to make a list is to have a website just for getting people to enter their name and email address. You need a reason for them to type their name and email address; you can’t just have an opt-in box with a blank page. One thing that is very popular is offering your visitors a free ebook or a free report or even a free video of something they are looking for. Let’s say you have a website on how to make money online and you have an opt-in box where they can get a free video or ebook only if they sign up to your email list. This would be a perfect way to get people on your list and then from there you can sell to them over and over.

Some people also put an opt-in box on the website they are trying to sell their own product. This is also a good way to impress your visitors because people are interested in your product and want to know more about it. If you are selling an ebook you could offer them the first ten pages of your ebook to see if this is something they want to buy. This would give them a taste of what you are selling and would give them a better perspective of your product. If you were selling videos on how to make money or anything else you could give them the first few videos and let them decide if they want to buy the rest of the video series.

As you can see email lists can be a very powerful internet marketing tool. You can get people to sign up to your list many different ways but the key is to offer them something for free because everybody likes to get stuff for free. It all depends on what you are selling or what information you are giving away. Test and measure to see what works best for your business.
